How We Grow
We’re all about delivering fresh, seasonal produce straight from our farm to your table. We believe in creating a connection between you and your food that benefits both you and the land. We’re open about how we farm and don’t use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or genetically modified seeds. Instead, we rely on natural fertilizers like worm castings, wood chip mulch, and mushroom compost. If you have any questions about how we grow, just ask!
Understanding the Risks
As a member, you’ll get to enjoy the bounty of our farm, but it’s good to know that farming has its ups and downs. We’ll do our best to provide you with a great share each week, but the amount of produce can change due to weather, pests, and other factors. By joining our CSA, you’re agreeing to share the risks of crop failure with us and the other members.
In the rare case of crop failure: If only a few crops don’t make it, we’ll fill your box with other goodies that are ready to go. If a lot of crops fail, there might be weeks when we can’t deliver anything. If that happens, we’ll reach out to you as soon as possible to discuss options. Just a heads up, we might not be able to refund memberships since the funds go towards the season’s expenses.
Pick-Up Info
You’ll need to pick up your share each week from our farm store at 10675 Chatsworth Hwy, Ellijay, GA 30540. Pick-up is available every Thursday and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind:
- Make sure to pick up your share within the designated time.
- Please be respectful of the property.
If you can’t make it, feel free to have someone else pick it up for you. Just make sure they know the pick-up process! If you can’t find anyone, let us know 48 hours in advance, and we won’t pack your box. If something comes up last minute, just reach out, and we’ll do our best to help. Shares not picked up in time will be forfeited for that week.
You’ll be getting the freshest produce around, but keep in mind that shares usually come packed and unwashed. Please wash and store your produce properly once you get it!
Membership Fees
By joining our CSA, you’re helping us cover the upfront costs of farming. Your membership fees allow us to purchase seeds and equipment before the season kicks off, and we truly appreciate your support!
